An October visit to Scampston Walled Garden in North Yorkshire
Date: Mon 13th October 2014
This is late in the season to visit Scampston Walled Garden but there are always interesting plants shining through at this time of year. The colours are rich and the air is cool. (The food is as great as ever). Here are some photos we took of our favourite views and ideas from the famous Dutch garden designer and author Piet Oudolf. He uses large blocks or 'drifts' of herbaceous perennials and grasses, beautiful and inspirational.
