Initial Meeting

At this meeting our portfolio and method of working are discussed. We will ask what you want from your garden, any restrictions for us to work around, a rough budget and discuss our fees. The design is staged to maximise your involvement throughout the process. Fees are payable at the completion of each stage and there is no obligationto run through all stages.

Survey

The next step is to visit the garden and carry out a measured survey for our base plan and a detailed photographic survey.

Water Feature Design

Water feature at garden near Wetherby, Yorkshire. Water features and designed in collaboration with the water engineer, plumber and electrician. Deigns are presented to the client and may be altered and amended to suit site conditions such as high evaporation on an exposed site. Also the timing of water features is an important part of the design. A trickle or sheet of water in the day and evening and still and silent at night.

Lighting Design

Night lighting at garden near Wetherby, Yorkshire. Should you require lighting of your garden, we can incorporate this into the design and build into the scheme using qualified experienced electricians. Special features in the garden can be lit including existing shrubs and trees for a dramatic effect. The lighting design is tested once installed and may be adjusted to obtain best results. The garden designer, client and electrician all work together in the garden once night falls!

Sculpture Design

Sculpture design, here steel sculptures were required to contrast with planting. Sculpture is designed and implemented by Paperbark Garden Design.
