Large Modern Garden

This large garden lies in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside. 

The existing young trees on site were incorporated into the landscaping scheme to provide an immediate impact with bold blocks of perennial planting. The colour scheme is strong with golden yellows and hot reds. The large borders have seasonal interest throughout the year and this garden is especially beautiful in Autumn.

This large garden was completely redesigned as a crisp modern extension was incorporated onto the rear of the property. As the new extension incorporated long lengths of opening glass sliding doors, the garden could now run straight out from the indoor rooms. A wide open view of the garden can be seen from the ground floor rooms in the home and this allowed for a large open lawn and blocks of bold planting.

The previously landscaped garden had incorporated some birch and pine trees. These were plotted on the base plan and their suitability and health assessed during the garden survey. The garden design and planting scheme incorporated these existing trees and they were tagged on site by Chris with the landscape contractor prior to any garden landscaping works starting on site. Once trees and any existing plants are tagged on site they will be protected by the landscape contractor. Additional semi-mature trees were also planted as part of the garden landscaping to provide immediate impact.

This modern garden looks great throughout the year. The frost and snow sets of the Autumn seed heads of the perennials and the grasses. Bulb planting brings interest to the garden early in the spring through to early summer and the wonderful perennials look great.
