Visit to a completed Paperbark garden in beautiful Yorkshire

Back to News
Date: Mon 6th October 2014

This is a completed design for a small garden near Keighley in Yorkshire which has great views over the beautiful Yorkshire Dales landscape.

The client requested no lawn and a small water feature and this is the finished planted garden design. The change in levels on site were accommodated with steps leading from the house and then a gently sloping garden path of stone paving and granite setts to the bottom of the garden.

The upper seating area with a simple timber seat and pergola to give shade. The stone wall retains this upper seating area within the garden.

The simple pergola structure will give support to climbing plants such as Wisteria sinensis.

The change in level from the conservatory doors to the garden was quite high. This was accommodated by introducing two sets of wide stone steps in the garden.

The garden has received the seal of approval from the highest level with the two pet cats having favourite seating spots in the garden.

The two sets of stone steps and low stone retaining wall.

The gently sloping path of stone and granite setts.

The beautiful random stone retaining wall and steps.

Simple timber bench seat with the granite setts. The white flowered shrub is Hydrangea.
